Mar Menor - The Location

- Mar Menor Golf Resort is situated in the Murcia region on the South East coast of Spain on the Costa Calida. It is only a short 5 minute drive to the lovely beaches of the Mar Menor and the seaside town of Los Alcazares. (A shuttle bus service is available in high season). San Javier airport is a convenient 10 minute drive from the Resort. There are many towns and village in the area such as San Javier, Santiago De La Ribera, San Pedro, Lo Pagan not to mention two major cities which are steeped in history.

Properties in the Mar Menor

- Mar Menor Golf Resort is made up of detached villas and apartments and are all very colourful. The villas are all set within their own plots and many have their own private pools. The bathrooms are finished in a luxury marble and they contain all the mod-cons not usually found in holiday accommodation. All the apartments have use of beautiful communal pools and have great views over the golf course. They incorporate a large living space together with fantastic terrace areas.

On-Site Facilities

- The Resort is protected by 24 hr security making it a very safe place to holiday. A 5 star Intercontinental Hotel is central and incorporates the club house (where bar snacks are served, an Irish Bar (where you will find themed evenings and live music), the Nomad Restaurant (International cuisine at its best) & Hiroko Restaurant (a taste of Asia). There is also a Gym, luxury Spa, and indoor and outdoor pools available (payable locally).


- Just opposite the Hotel you will find the Resort Social Club incorporating a beautiful communal pool area (opens seasonally and is free of charge). It includes a children's pool area, a water fall and jacuzzi area, another restaurant and a sport's bar. On the first floor of this building there is a Gym which you can use free of charge and a tennis court. Just around the corner from there is a very well stocked supermarket stocking everything you will need including a good selection of wines and Spanish bread. A small bank and ATM machine is also located within the supermarket. On the outskirts of the resort there are presently 3 more restaurants and a Rock'n'Roll Bar which offers late night entertainment.

- There are many communal areas throughout the Resort containing seating areas, paddle courts, fountains and children's play areas. A perfect place to walk and cycle.

Spa

- As briefly mentioned previously the Spa is situated within the hotel. It has been designed and is managed by the renowned British company ESPA. Pure luxury are the words that spring to mind, when you enter this Oasis. Choose from one of the many therapies available or just relax in the vitality pool or heated indoor pool-go on, you know your worth it.

Mar Menor Golf

- The golf course started out approximately 5 years ago as an 9 hole course designed by Dave Thomas. Due to its popularity, another 9 holes have been added this time designed by Jack Nicklaus Design and is now a par 72. There are at least another 6 great quality golf courses within a radius of 20 kms. Services include golf club storage, changing rooms and shower facilities, buggy bar, Pro shop and club house which serves bar snacks. Private 1 to 1 or group lessons are available or you can just practise on the driving range or putting green. The choice is yours.
