10) La Manga's Strip
The sunrises over the Mediterranean side of Mar Menor can be striking but the sunsets over the quieter Mar Menor are simply stunning. Be sure to take one in, as well as the La Manga Strip with its attractive stretch of coastline festooned with blue flag beaches on each side.
9) Terra Natura
Just north of Murcia, Terra Natura Theme Park features a Safari Park and a recently built Water Park with over 700 metres of water slides. The safari park is divided into continents and features many, many animals.
8) Cruise on a Catamaran
One of the best ways to explore neighbouring Cartagena is by taking a trip on a Catamaran. From the boat you'll have unrivaled views of many of Murcia's sights. Catamaran rides depart from the Quayside daily.
7) Go-Karting
Mar Menor Go Karts is a fun day out that can be enjoyed by people of all ages. If you'd rather sit back and watch the action unfold there's a trackside cafe that provides refreshments. The track is close to San Javier Murcia Airport heading towards Los Alcazares. So this is why you brought the earplugs!
6) Cha-Cha-Cha on the Chiva bus
This interesting guided-tour shows you the sights of Cartagena while there's singing, dancing and live music going on. On the bus, there's a bar that's always open, and if you've anything left in your 'dance tank' by the end of the night you can party into the small hours at the 'La Escollera' nightclub.
5) Aquapolis Fun Park
What better way to cool off in the sunshine than by hitting the water slides and play areas. This is a sure-fire winner for all the family! It's open from June-September annually.
4) Putting Paradise
Murcia is the home of the world-famous La Manga Golf Club, which has been voted Europe's top golf resort for many years. Featuring 3 championship courses, many international tournaments and celebrity golfing events have been played here. Golfers here would wear wrinkled clothes if it weren't 4 irons! Worst joke ever!
3) Muddy waters
Fancy a day of pampering and self-indulgence? Then visit the brand new Spa at San Pedro del Pinar. Treatments and massages range from hydrotherapy and physiotherapy to luxurious mud-baths. After all this, you won't be singing the blues...
2) Santa Maria Cathedral
The remarkable baroque facade is best viewed from one of the al fresco cafes situated in Plaza Del Cardenal Belluga. The Santa Maria Cathedral is certainly on the 'must-see' list.

This excellent theme park is definitely worth a trip to. Situated in neighbouring Benidorm, expect some serious white knuckles! As well as various rollercoasters, there are more sedate rides on offer. There are some great rides for children too.
